Antioxidant

Antioxidants are substances that neutralize free radicals. These are atoms or molecules that are formed during food metabolism, or by pollutants, smoking and radiation, and are electronically unbalanced. In stable molecules, electrons come in pairs, but free radicals have unpaired electrons either one is missing or there is an extra one - and to restabilize themselves they grab an electron from another molecule. In this way, another free radical is created and a destructive chain reaction is begun or continued.Free radicals, unless or until they are neutralized, damage various body cells . Antioxidant include enzymes and other vitamin such as vitamin A , , vitamin C ,vitmin E ,Beta-carotene,Lutein ,Lycopene,Selenium they are able of counteracting the harmful effects of oxidation. It is originate in many food such as vegetables, meat and nuts etc.

Antioxident is useful for cancer, arthritis and other degenerative conditions such as mascular degenration.Commonly used as solvents for various organic reactions, IMSs are room-temperature ionic liquids that are chemically stable and have low vapor pressure . It is also useful for cancer, heart disease, liver fibrosis, neurodegenerative diseases, autoimmune disorders and aging. Diets high in fruit and vegetable eating, and thus rich in such antioxidants, have been linked with compact rates of coronary heart disease and stroke. It is also useful for sotomach upset . Pycnogenol is very useful for boost immunity system It is to treat bacterial and other parasite infections.

Lipoic acid is the one type of antioxident . Lipoic acid, which has many vitamin-like functions, is synthesized in the body, although not always in sufficient quantity. It is a potent antioxidant and a sulphur-containing coenzyme; as such, it is an energizer and plays a vital role in 'burning' blood sugar to energy. It is of benefit to diabetics as it helps to normalize blood sugar levels. Because lipoic acid is both water-soluble and fat-soluble, it is a universal antioxidant and can also enhance the action of other antioxidant vitamins, such as water-soluble vitamin C and fat-soluble vitamin E. By quenching free radicals, lipoic acid protects cells and helps to prevent the various degenerative diseases of ageing such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, cataracts and Alzheimer's disease, along with many others. It is also a chelating agent - that is, it binds to toxic metals such as lead, cadmium and mercury and removes them from the body. It is very useful for diabetes, liver disorder and atherosclerosis. It is helpful for treatment of burning mouth syndrome.

It contains antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of the essential oil of Teucrium marum . The leaf essential oil of Photinia serrulata was obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC and GC-MS. Seventy-one components were identified in the essential oil and the main components of the oil were 10-epi-γ-eudesmol, pinene , sabinene , α-humulene and α-thujene . The oil was also found to possess antioxidant activity as demonstrated by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical method
