Apricote

Botanical Name-Prunus Armeniaca

Family: Name-N.O. Rosaceae

Other Name- Apricock, Armeniaca vulgaris.

Description

Apricote is a deciduous, medium with hard tree. The leaves are broad, roundish ,smooth with thinly jagged.The flowers are sessile, sepal, petal with white colour. The fruit orange-red color bearing a hard kernel.It contains Fatty Acids: Oleic acid , Linoleic acid , Palmitic acid etc.The essential amino acid make-up of amandin, arginine, histidine, lysine, phenylalanine, leucine and valine. Tryptophan and cystine are also present. They contain substantial amounts of calcium, silicon, phosphorus and vitamin C.Originating from China, apricots are a popular seasonal fruit, which ripen in June and July. Ripe apricots are an excellent source of vitamins A and potassium. A serving of 100g contains over 80g of vitamin. Apricot is closely related to the peach . It is a butrient and tonic. It is stated that apricots form antidotes to hill- sickness. The dried fruit is used in fever to allay thirst as refrigernat and laxative. The seeds form an ing redient in some of the nutritive confections. Apricote oil is almost same to almond oil in whole charcters include physical and chemical characters . In traditional chines medicine is given this plant for various diseases such as regenerating body fluids, detoxifying, and quenching thirst.

How to use in different diseases

The tonic is useful for female fertility , It should be taken one to two teaspoonfuls twice a day . The powder is to treat cough, asthma and other lungs conditions .
