It is also know as acetylsalicylic acid.Its belong to the salicylates faction .Sodium salicylate, choline salicylate, and magnesium salicylate are also belong to this faction.Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory drug originally isolated from willow bark which is readily obtainable over-the-counter and has become widely used as an inexpensive painkiller.Aspirin tends to irritate the stomach and cause stomach bleeding in some cases, many rely on other over-the-counter pain medications It has many forms available like Coated, chewable, buffered, and extended-release .
However, aspirin also inhibits PGE1 and PGE3, which are beneficial prostaglandins that counteract the effects of PGE2. A preferable choice of treatment, therefore, is to increase the body's levels of PGE 1 by using supplements such as evening primrose oil and, at the same time, reducing the intake of animal foods

The patient should not be take aspirin when they suffer of the stomach ulcer, kidney and liver damage, History of bleeding problem etc and pregnent women.The children should not take aspirin when they suffer of chickenpox, and influenza . It causes side effects such as stomach upset,, heartburn , rash, itching ,swelling , vomting etc.
Dose
One tab one time each day with water at mealtime or as directed by the Physician.
